Macclesfield is a The Wild Company habitat bank in Cheshire East, managed for long-term ecological delivery within the South West Peak National Character Area.
The site has been transformed from species-poor pasture into a diverse, high-performing natural capital asset, delivering Blanket Bog, Fens, Upland Hay Meadows, Upland Heathland and Upland Acid Grassland — with units available at Very High, High and Medium distinctiveness levels.
With over 105 units available, Macclesfield offers developers a strong off-site BNG solution for the Cheshire East and wider North West market, while creating an important ecological corridor that improves soil health and water infiltration across the landscape.
The Wild Company manages the full lifecycle of this site - from initial baseline assessment and registration on the National Biodiversity Gain Site Register, through to legal structuring, unit sales and 30 years of physical ecological delivery and monitoring.
Legals are currently being agreed via a Conservation Covenant. Units will be available for allocation upon registration.
